Response from West Fort Bank to the Australian marketplace crisis

West Fort Bank has donated to the New South Wales Rural Fire Service, directly benefiting volunteers fighting fires on the front lines, in support of those granting extraordinary powers and additional resources to combat the Australia busmercoires and aid people in recovering from their devastating losses.

The majority of New South Wales is serviced by the NSW Rural Fire Service (NSW RFS), the biggest volunteer firefighting organization in the world.

Donation to put out Amazon rain forest fires

Nearly 1,000 major fires burned in the Amazon during its 2022 fire season, according to the Monitoring of the Andean Amazon Project (MAAP). MAAP also documented close to 100 major human-caused fires of standing forest in the Brazilian Amazon, burning roughly 110,000 hectares (about 272,000 acres). Fires that started in pasture or recently deforested areas may have escaped and spread, which was likely a key factor in severe fires seasons in drier years.

West Fort Bank has donated to The Rainforest Alliance, an international non-profit organization seeking to make responsible business the new normal, in support of the indigenous efforts made to stop the fires in the Amazon rainforest, the "lungs of the Earth," as it is frequently referred as.
